Keeping a house clean and free from any infestations is the top priority of most homeowners, but there are times when tiny bugs still get inside and cause bothering trouble.
Here are ways you can get rid of them:
Pre-made Trap
Locate the source of the infestation. Set the pre-made trap by placing it as near as it can be to the swarm of fruit flies. Even if you forgot about your fruits and they started to attract fruit flies again, with this pre-made trap, they’ll get caught in an instant.
Vinegar Trap
Not a fan of pre-made traps and the mess it makes? This DIY vinegar trap attracts the fruit flies because of the vinegar’s scent and this will absolutely solve your problem. Upon making this, you’ll need:
- Apple cider vinegar
- Dish soap
- Glass jar
- Lid with small holes
Combine ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar and a bit of dish soap inside the glass jar, then cover with a lid. Place this near the fruit flies’ swarm and they will get attracted to the scent of the vinegar. The soap will make the fruit flies get stuck on the liquid, and in case they didn’t get trapped by the liquid, they will still be trapped by the jar.
